The Gold Art Prize, founded in 2021 by art advisor Kelly Huang of  KCH Advisory and Gold House, is a first-of-its-kind biennial award to support artists from the Asian diaspora. Five awardees are selected each cycle and each receives a $25,000 unrestricted cash prize, sponsored by the Kahng Foundation. Awardees are also included in Gold House Futures, an initiative that gives leading next-generation creatives, entrepreneurs, and social impact leaders opportunities for exposure and mentorship. A catalogue is published for each award cycle, featuring essays and artist interviews, as a means to support and create new scholarship about artists from the Asian diaspora.
